Help for Share users and app store listings
Apple App Store Connect typically requires a support URL. Google Play and Microsoft Store listings also benefit from a clear help page. This page is that home base.
Quick help
- Both people must stay online until the transfer finishes (peer-to-peer).
- Prefer the same Wi‑Fi or join a phone hotspot hosted by one participant when off the internet.
-
Use the room QR code or LAN link, not
localhost, when joining from another device. - If connect fails, try disabling VPN, confirm both are in the same room, and check the in-app debug log when available.
- Accept/decline multi-file offers carefully—only selected files transfer after you accept.

Platform notes
- Android — Host mode needs network permission and may use a foreground service while hosting. Hotspot must be enabled in system settings; the app shows the join URL/QR for friends on that hotspot.
- iOS / iPadOS — Background hosting is limited by the OS. Keep the app open while hosting when possible.
- Desktop (Windows, macOS, Linux) — Uses a local host plus the shared web UI; allow local network access if the OS prompts.
- Self-host / TrueNAS — Deploy the monorepo Docker/server stack on your LAN; point devices at the host’s HTTP address.
